B.B. was born on May 8, 1955 and raised in a small coal camp in Southern West Virginia known as “Winona”. B.B. developed his love for music and desire to entertain at the early age of six (6) when his grandfather taught him to play the guitar. Before B.B turned eight (8), his parents brought home an old “upright” piano which B.B. not only taught himself to play but mastered! And by the age of fifteen (15), B.B. had his own band along with a burning desire to sing, play and entertain and is still fulfilling that desire even to this day.
Graduation from high school led not to stardom but to work in the dark coalmines of West Virginia while still pursuing his musical endeavors. Once the coal industry began to deplete, B.B. took his act to the road and began touring the U.S. and Canada.
B.B.’s perseverance and undeniable talent have led to appearances on “The Wheeling Jamboree”, “The Grand Ole Opry”, WSM Midnight Jamboree at Ernest Tubb’s Record Shop, the Opryland Hotel, television and radio, and opening concerts for such musical greats as Willie Nelson, Randy Travis, Toby Keith, Keith Whitley and many more. Recently B.B. has had the privilege to entertain our troops in Europe and South America.
While maintaining his busy career on the road, B.B. also enjoys his home life in southern West Virginia with Elaine, his wife of almost twenty years, and four children- Trista, Krista, William (Little B), and Blade.
